I am considering filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy but would prefer to save the cost of hiring an attorney and was wondering how difficult this would be to do on my own.

It is my understanding that it is very difficult. Many lawyers who use to do bankruptcy stopped when the new laws went into effect.
