It is my understanding that it is very difficult. Many lawyers who use to do bankruptcy stopped when the new laws went into effect.

It is very difficult to file bankruptcy without a lawyer. In fact, having a qualified bankrutpcy attorney could save you money because if you get anything wrong when you file it could be very expensive.
