Please help ?
You can say I’m a single mother although the father is around.I’m trying to move out on my own,the problem is I have accumulated bad credit since I’ve been with my daughters father.I was wondering about filing chapter 13 but it’s so exspesive.I also know the laws have change about filing bankruptcy. But in my case I think that would be best so I can get my discharge papers and move out on my own.My daughter father is a nice guy but we have been together for eleven years and it’s the same ole shi*.I as long as I’m with him I’ll never have nothing. He works every day but he can’t account for where his money is going or he’s always investing his money in these get rich fast t.v commercial’s and always end up loosing all his money and end up having to pay more.I work hard and I’m the one that pays for everything. He’s really easy going and I have talked to him about the things he do until I’m blue in the face. And he says he’s going to get better.I’m just tired now any advice? Please help.

I would tell him to either fork over money for the bills or you will have to sue him for the support. He has a responsibility to support his daughter above anything else. Every time he invests in “get rich quick schemes” he is taking food from his own daughter’s mouth. There are no get rich schemes that work. The only person that gets rich,is the person hosting the scheme. These people will be exposed and possibly sent to jail.Tell him he has to face reality and save his money in a bank. He could invest in her future as well,by putting money away for her college and what not.

you should check with the local school / church – there are a lot of womans groups for people in your position – they can offer much better advice based on what programs are located near you etc.
You are making a big decision so go slow and try to avoid the chapter 13 if possible-
good luck!
