I am in over my head with debt and right now I can not make all of my payments. I was just wondering how any one was doing after bankruptcy. I have heard that you can get back on your feet and get loans even if you have went bankrupt. I was just wanting to get some opinions. Has anyone ever done it? What are the consequences that most people experience? I am hearing about new laws. Are they really affecting jobs? Please someone help.

How can I find out what assets are exempt from collections/judgments under Florida law?

Hello,
I have been googling and hunting all over the internet and am coming up empty handed.

If anyone knows a web site where I can find out what assets are exempt from collections under Florida law, I’d appreciate knowing where to find that info.

Please note this is not a bankruptcy question. I had a Ch. 7 bankruptcy six years ago and I can’t do another one for at least two more years. In the meantime I have a lot of house-related credit card debt that I can’t handle. I am already in pre-foreclosure and I am thinking of just letting the credit cards go.

I do not want to file a Chapter 13 and have to be accountable to a trustee for every penny that goes in and out of my life for the next five years either….

I realize that if I let the credit cards go, I will probably get sued and have one or more judgments against me. I have five credit cards, total of $17k in debt, and one of the balances alone is $6k.

I did find out that according to Florida law, because I am the head of household, I am exempt from getting my wages garnished.

The only assets I’m worried about protecting are my eight year old Honda, and my bank account. I don’t have any money in the bank account other than paychecks that go in and out.

As I mentioned, I’ve been searching on the internet and can’t find anything. I really need to know if I get sued by a credit card company, and if a judgment is made against me, if they would be able to seize my car and/or my bank account. Thanks for any info anyone can provide, and in the meantime I am going to keep googling and hunting.

Filed chapter 13, receive SSD , can the Trustee change or question the law”?

The new bankruptcy law states not to include social security benefits as income. We receive long term disablity as well. that our attorney showed as income. When filing our papers our attorney did as the new law states, which in turn showed that we owed zero amount to our creditors since the social security was not to be included. When we went before the Trustee for the 341 meeting, the Trustee did not feel that it was right for us to owe nothing and challenged our attorney to prove to him why the social security that we receive should not be included as income. Does a Trustee have the capacity to request this? He wants us to pay something, but why should the law change? Has there been a similar case since the law changed in 2005?

What is the Maximum amount that can be garnished from wages due to a judgement from several creditors?

Unfortunately my business failed. I had numerous credit cards that were used to purchase business supplies, inventory, etc. When the economy fell, the business took a huge dip, leaving me with no way to pay for the monthly expenses to keep the business afloat. Not to mention, no way to purchase inventory to keep the business from failing further. I am in over my head and have considered bankruptcy but I have some circumstances that have caused me to have to delay the inevitable. In the mean time, creditors are threatening law suits etc. I have a family and this situation was an honest try to make a business work but obviously didn’t. Needless to say, I am worried about the amount that can be garnished as we are struggling already, living pay check to pay check. Can someone answer my question?

A person files suit in federal court against the State of New York, claiming he suffered
injuries as a result of the passage of the state’s Clean Water Act, which forced him to
close down his medical-waste dump and declare bankruptcy as a result of the cleanup
costs mandated by the new law. The case is dismissed. Why?

I’m a business major so obviously there are many presentations and group projects involved. I was always pretty confident in my presentations. I’ve gotten nervous but it always went away quickly once I started. I even spoke to large groups of people at a school assemblies before. I even gave a presentation on bankruptcy laws and regulations which I knew nothing about and I still got the highest grade. I am taking currently taking a class that is considered to be the hardest class in our business adminstration department. I had the easiest speech ever…it was a self introduction. I started out articulate and confident and 30 seconds into it I started noticing my neck tensing up and my head started to shake like I was laying on those soft massaging chairs. I had to take a deep breath & I blanked out for a good 3 seconds then I was a better throughout the rest of my presentation but it still wasn’t as smooth as the rest of my speeches. What could have triggered my tremor out of nowhere?

When will sanity, law, and order be revived and American ideals preserved?

IMMIGRATION IN THE 20TH AND 21ST CENTURY - THE CURSE OF CIVILIZED NATIONS AND DECENT PEOPLES.

Immigration to America in the 17th to 19th century was by decent, hardworking, well intentioned people, heading to America with honorable intentions to build and contribute to society. They created a workable social system with benefits to the deserving and a society of well-intentioned and decent people. But no such people come any more.

Now they come in droves, packing the major cities, causing an increase in crime, congestion, and taxes as real estate rents soar, parking is unavailable or exorbitantly high. Americans who took their entire lives to pay off their home mortgages, now find that the taxes on their homes are so high, they cant afford to live in them any more and the congestion so bad, they cant even find a place to park in front of their own homes. Many have to pack up and move out of the city, just to make ends meet, and then face the arduous daily hours of driving back and forth just to get to work and back home. That is, those that still have jobs, since as this goes on, jobs disappear, either right here where we get laid off, or the whole company moves out to a cheap labor country. And as the hordes make demands for energy needs, power needed to heat and light homes and buildings is insufficient, and cities black out, the demand for gas soars, heating prices skyrocket, and our own supply of gas becomes insufficient to meet our own needs, and we become victims of the arabs, who use the pumps to revenge our policies they don’t like. Even the price of food is soaring to feed these unwelcome parasites.

They pile over the borders or by plane on visitor visas, preying on the good naturedness of Americans to provide a refuge for the oppressed, they connive the appearance of the downtrodden and persecuted, and then sit down comfortably and stay here, leeching off the health care system which faces bankruptcy in 20 years, the welfare system that us sucker u.s. taxpayers have to pick up the tab for, and which we spent decades to build.

Social parasites from latin america, flock here to live free on us sucker taxpayers, dragging their families and relatives in, once they get green cards and then swamping the health care system with their third world illnesses and birth defects. And the other breed of latinos – criminals of the most evil intensities terrorizing communities in which they rob and kill.

Thieves and common criminals from the countries of eastern Europe and the soviet union, hearing that there is still stuff on store shelves when stores close, that hasn’t been shoplifted or sold, come and steal, with impunity.

Mafia organizations that control Russia and the countries of the former soviet union, setting up foreign crime systems that specialize in grand larceny, weaponry, even nuclear arms materials for sale, stolen from the old soviet system, available for sale to our enemies, raking them million$.

Africans with strange ,deadly diseases walk in, causing epidemics and death to our gay citizens and to innocent people in general and swamping the health care system.

Asians with alien religious philosophies, contrary to Christian monotheism, poisoning the minds of our youth. And they come and take our jobs away here in America, while employers, enticed by cheap labor, move their companies there, leaving us unemployed,.

Terrorists walk in and go about their death tactics with ease and we shudder at what they will do to us next.

All, contributing to crime, violence, social unrest.

Finally, To add insult to these injuries to our nation, our government picks up the tab for hundreds of thousands of third world “students” to come, pack our universities tuition free at the expense of us US taxpayers ,while we Americans fall into debt to pay for our own children to get a college education.

AND WE ARE EXPECTED TO PICK UP THE TAB WORLDWIDE
FOR THEM, WHENEVER S–T HAPPENS ANYWHERE.

What kind of fools are running this country?
What kind of fools are we to let this go on?

And WHATEVER HAPPENED TO LAW AND ORDER?

Now that K-mart has went into business with Sears and under a new name, does anyone know if people that were holding the previous K-mart stock before it took the bankrupt law have any rights? I can’t seem to find out anything except taking a complete loss on the stock I now have. Would appreciate any knowledge on this subject.
