I want to study law, but I do not want to become a lawyer?

bankruptcy law

Hello, I went through lots of problems last year. I thought if I knew more of those laws….. about business, credit, bankruptcy and so on, it would have helped me alot.

I do not have plan to be a lawyer, but I would like to study those laws that would help me in long runs.

How should I study them?

Help me please!

  1. Arthur Says:

Check your local community college and see what kind of legal courses they offer. They might offer some for people who want to go into law enforcement or become paralegals.

Lots of places offer much less expensive paralegal degrees.

There are a couple of places you might check for a course or two that might help. One is local colleges, look for a course in “Business Law”. It’s a brief course taught like law courses, but for people that don’t want to be lawyers, or even necessarily know one, they just want to know how to avoid lawyers, or make any required contact brief as possible.

There may be some books at a large bookstore or online bookstore. “Credit Law for Dummies” or something.

The local Bar association might offer free classes for laypersons on the subjects you are interested in.

Once you have a short basic course, you should be able to find the statutes (federal or state) online, and find what you need, and maybe even read it (I say “maybe” because some are baffling even to lawyers.)
