How to remove Ampd mobile bill from my credit, it is the only thing on my credit, but it’s for $3,000?
I’m 19yrs old, and on my 18th birthday I purchased 3 phones to help me establish my credit (1st mistake), the company I chose was Ampd mobile(2nd mistake). I payed my bills monthly via telephone(3rd mistake), but a year later I get a bill in the mail saying that i owed 3,33something dollars. I call and speak to a supervisor who mails me a “updated” bill because he said that he fixed the problem with it. THE BILL WAS THE SAME!! Now I am trying to get student loans to attend college and I can’t because of this, What to do?!!! How do I remove this false bill from my credit score. The MAN said my bill should have been at zero.
I am crying every night worrying because college is unattainable if I can’t remove this in time, or find a eligible cosigner. My family just filed for bankruptcy. So as of now I am SOL.
Please someone help, I’m a 2nd yr Political Science major with a Pre-Law track. This bill has messed me up!!!!

Send each credit bureau a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt stating:
Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act , I am requesting written validation of this alleged debt
They either have to validate the debt or remove it from your credit files. To speed things up, enclose a photocopy of your driver’s license + social security card to your letters to the credit bureaus.
Send Amp’d a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt stating:
Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I am requesting written validation of this alleged debt. Please provide a detailed summary/billing record showing how this bill was calculated.
FYI: You’re most likely looking at a 4-week minimum lag time for your credit report to be updated…(if this is going to happen)…Maybe a miracle will happen and it will occur sooner….but you should plan on it not being updated for another month and plan accordingly…..sorry.

OMG, the same thing happened to my sister only her bill is $5000 dollars. that’s why they’re outta business now. If they can’t provide an accurate bill stating all the detailed charges that they’re trying to bill you for then they can’t put that on your credit.
