Has anyone heard of this? Use federal laws to eliminate your debts?
I keep getting emails that claim there are Federal Laws to elimate debts. (I know they are note referring to Bankruptcy here). Doesn’t anyone know if this is true or is it just more scammers making money off other’s mistfortunes?
If anyone knows this to be true, I would like to know.

I’m not sure if there really IS a law about that, but I have a friend who did one of those e-mails, and it was a total scam. She ended up losing about $800 and then because she was like 2 or months behind in her bills she was going to file for Bankruptcy! So be VERY careful!

you can negotiate with your creditors and say I will pay you a percentage of what I owe.
but it is wrong…you borrowed the money and agreed to pay it back, why shouldnt you?

The ONLY federal law to eliminate debt are the federal bankruptcy laws (Chaps. 7 & 13). No other such law exists.

if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan

a good place to start in my humble opinion is:
