Once a bankruptcy has been discharged, you cannot file again for at least 7 years.

I’m not being flip at all but you may want to check into financial counseling. The first bankruptcy should have not been pleasant and therefore not to be repeated. Disregard if you were asking for someone else.

The limits pertain to getting a discharge, not to filing.
You cannot obtain a discharge in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy if you received a Chapter 7 discharge within the past 8 years or a discharge in a Chapter 13 case within the past 6 years.
You cannot obtain a discharge in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy if you obtained a discharge in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy within the past 4 years or a Chapter 13 within the past 2 years.
