Ok my wife was manager and I worked under her for 3 months and we were doing great paying bills making sales the whole 10 yards. well in one day home office shows up fires us all and they pack up all extra equip. and hardware and take off back to home office. They only said that they had to file for bankruptcy and there lawyer said this was best course of action. Well in the same day our landlord said we couldnt stay in our house anymore due to both of us losing our jobs and he kicked us out that night. We had no choice but to move in with my sister in law in another state. We had to take our 3 kids out of school. now we are job hunting again and I want to know is there anything legally we can do to our previous employer for the way they did us. They gave no notice nor any chance to find another job right then.

I filed chapter 13 prior to law changes last year and the repayment plan was confirmed. Upon filing, the amount owed to creditor which came up in the credit reports was 4 times what was actually owed. I think my identity may have been stolen, or collection agencies may have double or triple dipped me. I have been making timely payments to the trustee for 12 months now. Yesterday I received a letter from the trustee advising that she’s filed a motion to dismiss due to “material change prejudicial to creditors in payment terms resulting from unscheduled, unlisted, or improperly listed tax or other claims.” I owe no property or income taxes, have not sold or transferred any property, and have not acquired any new debt. I went to my attorney this morning, who claimed they had not received this letter. The attorney handling my case was in court all day and has not returned my calls or emails. HELP

Can anyone tell me with the new bankruptcy laws, can I file a chapter 7 again before 8 yrs , I really need help just went thur a divorce and lose my home and me debt is just piling up.

I work in a bankruptcy law office as a receptionist. Today at work i hard a ton of work that had to get done. The other receptionist didn’t come to work today so i had to do her duties of sending payment to the court. Today i received a payment that had to be mailed out but somthing happen in which i couldn’t mail out the check because i needed to wait to consult with my boss, that is out on vacation fo the next two weeks. I put the client money order in a enevlope and accidently placed the envelope with the mail that had to be sent out. When i drop off the mail in a blue mail collection box before leaving work. By the time i rememebered i was already home. The mail dosen’t get picked up until tomorrow morning though. What can i do to get the blank envelope that i accedently dropped? Or can the client cancel there money order and get another one without charge?

Recent law grad & recently unemployed for 8 months. I know loans are unaffected but I have probably $11-13K in other debts. It has been suggested I will be hit for 7 years either way, but with bankruptcy, the clock starts now vs. paying for 2-3 years…in MN if it matters.

A student’s loans are in default and can’t get financial aid because of the laws surrounding that, so if they applied for bankruptcy today, how long does it take to complete the process, for example if they started today, how long would it take from today until the process is complete?

Immigration to America in the 17th to 19th century was by decent, hardworking, well intentioned people, heading to America with honorable intentions to build and contribute to society. They created a workable social system with benefits to the deserving and a society of well-intentioned and decent people. But no such people come any more.

Now they come in droves, packing the major cities, causing an increase in crime, congestion, and taxes as real estate rents soar, parking is unavailable or exorbitantly high. Americans who took their entire lives to pay off their home mortgages, now find that the taxes on their homes are so high, they cant afford to live in them any more and the congestion so bad, they cant even find a place to park in front of their own homes. Many have to pack up and move out of the city, just to make ends meet, and then face the arduous daily hours of driving back and forth just to get to work and back home. That is, those that still have jobs, since as this goes on, jobs disappear, either right here where we get laid off, or the whole company moves out to a cheap labor country. And as the hordes make demands for energy needs, power needed to heat and light homes and buildings is insufficient, and cities black out, the demand for gas soars, heating prices skyrocket, and our own supply of gas becomes insufficient to meet our own needs, and we become victims of the arabs, who use the pumps to revenge our policies they don’t like. Even the price of food is soaring to feed these unwelcome parasites.

They pile over the borders or by plane on visitor visas, preying on the good naturedness of Americans to provide a refuge for the oppressed, they connive the appearance of the downtrodden and persecuted, and then sit down comfortably and stay here, leeching off the health care system which faces bankruptcy in 20 years, the welfare system that us sucker u.s. taxpayers have to pick up the tab for, and which we spent decades to build.

Social parasites from latin america, flock here to live free on us sucker taxpayers, dragging their families and relatives in, once they get green cards and then swamping the health care system with their third world illnesses and birth defects. And the other breed of latinos – criminals of the most evil intensities terrorizing communities in which they rob and kill.

Thieves and common criminals from the countries of eastern Europe and the soviet union, hearing that there is still stuff on store shelves when stores close, that hasn’t been shoplifted or sold, come and steal, with impunity.

Mafia organizations that control Russia and the countries of the former soviet union, setting up foreign crime systems that specialize in grand larceny, weaponry, even nuclear arms materials for sale, stolen from the old soviet system, available for sale to our enemies, raking them million$.

Africans with strange ,deadly diseases walk in, causing epidemics and death to our gay citizens and to innocent people in general and swamping the health care system.

Asians with alien religious philosophies, contrary to Christian monotheism, poisoning the minds of our youth. And they come and take our jobs away here in America, while employers, enticed by cheap labor, move their companies there, leaving us unemployed,.

Terrorists walk in and go about their death tactics with ease and we shudder at what they will do to us next.

All, contributing to crime, violence, social unrest.

Finally, To add insult to these injuries to our nation, our government picks up the tab for hundreds of thousands of third world “students” to come, pack our universities tuition free at the expense of us US taxpayers ,while we Americans fall into debt to pay for our own children to get a college education.

AND WE ARE EXPECTED TO PICK UP THE TAB WORLDWIDE
FOR THEM, WHENEVER S–T HAPPENS ANYWHERE.

What kind of fools are running this country?
What kind of fools are we to let this go on?

to go back to work. I have recovered and now I have an opportunity to get a better job. The only problem is that this employer may run a credit check along with a background check. He asked if there was any history of arrest or anything and I told the truth and said no. He did not ask about my credit. I had to file bankruptcy two years ago because I was not able to return to work right away and the bills piled up so bad that I would have been in debt for the next 40 years! Other than that I have been responsible for my bills and always pay them on time. When I filed the attorney said that there is a federal law that keeps an employer from discriminating against a person who files. Is this true? Why is a perspective employer able to eliminate a person from a job in which they are otherwise well qualified for when he or she has had to file? I will not be working with money. I have never stolen anything in my life!
