When you file bankruptcy on a car and a home … How long do u have until they repo them ??? . Friends need to know … Im not sure how the new bankruptcy laws are now.

They are to file bankruptcy on the home and car …. how long do they have to get things out of home and car before the banks come and take the car and kick them out of the house ?

I bought a new car and understand that by law, I can return my car to the bank through which the loan is taken out through, without penalty, because my car was included in my bankruptcy about two years ago (even though I’ve still been making payments on it after the bankruptcy). Is this correct?

Im in the middle of bankruptcy and the laywer advise me to walk away from this second property i have. He laid out the future to me… my house is only worth 30 thous i owe around 51 thous and if i rent i profit only around 200 dollars with at 700 a month, not to mention will be less with toliet and other problem if it arise during tenant living area. i have about 16 more years to pay off on this property …the house’s age is around over 30 years old and its not brick type and mention that i would put more money in the future’s repair due to deterioration adding on to the mortgage.
im tempted to walk away and hes guaranteed me the bank mortgage cant touch me under bankrupcty protection law.
for those who experiences and expertise what do you think and what advice do you have?

My dad’s about 52 right now and he has always had an anger problem. When I say anger problem I mean like he always snaps and he gets mad really easily. I thought he had gone passed his midlife crisis couple years ago when he went thru bankruptcy and law suits. Our family has been pretty peaceful after that. But 2 days ago he was ok in the morning and afternoon. And at night he fell asleep in my parents room and all of a sudden he woke up and he just start getting really mad. He start slamming doors and just stop talking to us. He slepted in the living room and he doesn’t eat. We don’t know what’s wrong with him. My mom said they didn’t have an argument and she said he told her he’s just mad at himself. What is wrong with him? it’s been 2 days and he’s just so angry at the world or something. He lost his company during the bankruptsy so he’s a driver now picking up kids at school so he doesnt have a lot of stress.

Has anyone been through this program? We are going through it but it seems that it is more of a hassle than anything and it is making me nervous. My mother in law was going through it but they had to file bankruptcy because the program screwed them! If you know about this or have done it, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I live in MA. I cosigned on a loan for my sister. She lives in NH. The car is registered in NH currently w/ no insurance. My sister is filing bankruptcy & has given me the car to continue payments & use. Can I register the car & get insurance since that is MA law by just being a cosigner? I do not have the credit to take a loan out myself. HELP!!!

Many are terrible drivers and I question their responsibility in owning and driving a car.

Many do not make good decisions about having protected sex.

Many do not make good decisions about their finances, and we are constantly bailing them out with kind bankruptcy laws.

Maybe we should make everyone take a driver’s test each time they get their license renewed…

Sexually, I am not sure how to make people be more responsible.

Maybe we should make it more difficult for people to file bankruptcy…as it is too much of an easy way out.

Finally, maybe we should make it more difficult to own guns…

If I loan my car to someone and they have an accident, I can be held partially liable… However, if I owned a gun and a crime was committed with it…would I have any culpability?

This is a confusing time we live in.

i cant register a vehicle in saskatchewan and my licence have been revoked.I am wondering if anyone knows if I could go to Alberta and get a drivers licence out there.So if you could help me out with this question it would be greatly appreciated.I got my licence revoked over 10 years ago i got into an accident when i was 18 now i am 34 and the debt has never gone away i didnt have the means to pay it.could I claim bankruptcy on this debt?
